Outdoor chalkboard update!

Hi friends! I hope you are enjoying your long Memorial day weekend! Although an extra day off is nice, our weather isn't exactly cooperating, so we are having movie Monday here at My House and Home. We did manage to tackle a couple projects including this addition to our outdoor chalkboard for more on that post you can find it here. In the meantime check this idea out!

Here is the chalkboard.

This outdoor chalkboard has given our kiddos hours of enjoyment, but what to do with all that chalk and the eraser, hmmm. For the last several months, I have found chalk on the ground dissolved by the rain, what a waste. There has to be another way to store the chalk right? My aha moment was an outdoor mailbox with a lid...perfect.

Here is the chalkboard now, with a creative storage solution.

Now we have dry chalk at our disposal with its very own home.

Good idea don't ya think??? I mean if I do say so myself.

Stay tuned for another Pinterest ispired project that we tackled over the weekend.

Happy grilling to you all!
