Felt Patriotic Wreath
Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 4:36PM Ok, so here is another fun felt wreath for summertime! The best part about this wreath was that I got to create this beauty at the beach house with the ladies! Sunshine, mimosas and a beautiful setting combined with the urge to tackle yet another felt wreath, nice!
I cut 2 x 2 inch squares out of red, white and blue felt (5 or 6 sheets of each color).
Break out the glue gun and turn the squares into a cone like shape and glue the pointy end onto the wreath form. snuggle each one close together and it will start to take its shape.
Just keep going, going, going and sipping on your mimosa! I just eyeballed the spacing between each color alternating as I saw fit.
This thing is coming along!
I used craft wire to wrap around the wreath and tied it off, you really don't see it, since I tucked it under the felt as much as I could. On the two ends of wire I taped cardstock stars that I traced with the kiddos stencils. I taped about 7 of them to the wiggly wire for some movement as if the stars are shooting out toward you.
I think this festive wreath will be right at home here for the summer!
